I can say with 100% certainty that Mochizuki Amane is the best character inside this visual novel. No one else even comes close in comparison and quite honestly, I’m surprised you’re unable to do her route without having gone through Kotori’s first. Perhaps the writer understood that Amane was the peak, and forbade us mere readers from experiencing it early, because everything would have been downhill from there.
Although I say downhill, It’s not as if the other routes are bad it’s just that I don’t think they are as good. If I had to rate all of them in order from best to worst it would be as follows
- Amane
- Kotori
- Yoru/Asa
- Asa
- Ageha
There’s no real deep meaning behind the order, but Ageha’s route was the most annoying by far, her reasoning for basically driving the MC crazy also seemed pretty strange, “I was scared of losing everyone again, so I pushed everyone away from me?” Maybe I’m missing out on something but that’s what I felt while going through it. Kotori’s route was fun, and had many cute moments, The writer does really well at making it feel like you’re accomplishing a goal together that you’ve been trying for, for years. The buildup to the final scene was also really nice so I’d recommend doing hers first over Ageha. Yoru/Asa were less annoying. Amane is a queen and that’s pretty much it.
